Dining

At Cliffdale we serve a variety of wholesome meals prepared in our first class kitchen facilities by our two cooks, Joy and Rose, with the assistance of kitchen assistants Kate and Steve.

Mealtimes are an opportunity for residents to socialise, whilst enjoying a nutritious dish of their choice. We cater for all dietary requirements, and if a resident would prefer something that isn’t on the menu, we do our best to cook it for them! Residents are invited to sit at our dining table, but some may choose to eat in their rooms at times. Should assistance be required, staff are happy to help, ensuring that all residents enjoy nutritious meals. In addition to home-cooked, hot meals and drinks regularly served by staff, residents have access to snacks and fruit juices at all times.

Our kitchen committee meets regularly, and is an opportunity for residents, relatives and staff to suggest menu ideas, and improvements to our dining service.

  • Apple or orange juice
  • Cottage pie topped with carrot and swede mash (fortified with butter and cream)
  • Broccoli and Cauliflower
  • Gravy
  • Raspberry and Apple pie with custard (made with full fat milk) or,
  • Ice cream and fruit
  • Tea or Coffee
